Adding A New Mound

Just added a forth mound in my garden. It’s the thinner one in the middle. It’ll be for the cherry tomatoes and peppers. For this one, I simply shoveled down about 8 inches and flipped the top soil grass down. This provides enough drainage and room for root growth. I will be adding peat moss, compost, and strong branches for two rows of trellis. I’m considering growing garlic, carrots, and beets in it, too.

I’ll give an update on the build once its finished, showing how I build the trellis system and soil.

Stay tuned for the following three mounds I will be building, and for the planting of my first blueberry tree.

Grow a garden. Grow security. Grow freedom.
